Western Precast has tallied over 600 days without a lost Anne incident and recently we were honored for our safety record by NPCA. Western Precast was awarded the Silver Safety Award for its commitment and achievements in safety under the 60,000 to 120,000 hours worked category.
I was honored to accept this prestigious Silver Safety award on behalf of the company and am proud to share the script presentation attached to the plaque:
“For outstanding commitment to safety this 2020 Silver Safety Award is given to the team members of Western Precast Inc, in recognition of achieving the exemplary record of plant safety. Participation in the NPCA safety awards program affirms an ongoing commitment to creating a strong culture of safety throughout the precast concrete plant, including employee safety training and adherence to safe production practices. Congratulations to all the team members at Western Precast.’
As Safety Director, I would like to affirm that achieving true safety success, is a culture that comes from the top down and must be backed by a commitment to be safe from the front office. We are fortunate to have always had the Commitment from ownership that sets a safe culture for the entire staff. As I think back, one of our past Western Precast President’s, John Kramer used to often comment to me when we met in the yard: “Make sure you keep an eye out for the entire staff, you can never be too safe”. I think Mr. Kramer would be proud!

Premio De Seguridad De Plantino
Western Precast ha contado mas de 600 dias sin un incidente de tiempo perdido y recientemente NPCA nos honro por nuestro historial de seguridad. Western Precast fue galardonado con el Silver Safety Award por su compromiso y logros en seguridad en la categorfa de 60.000 a 120.000 horas trabajadas.
Tuve el honor de aceptar este prestigioso Premio de Seguridad de Platino en nombre de la empresa y me enorgullece compartir la presentacion del guion adjunta a la placa:
“Por su destacado compromiso con la seguridad, este Premio de Seguridad De Plafino 2020 se otorga a los miembros del equipo de Western Precast Inc, en reconocimiento por lograr el récord ejemplar de seguridad de la planta. La participacion en el programa de premios de seguridad de NPCA afirma el compromiso conflnuo de crear una cultura solida de seguridad en toda la planta de hormigon prefabricado, incluida la capacitacion en seguridad de los empleados y el cumplimiento de prâcticas de produccion seguras. Felicitaciones a todos los miembros del equipo de Western Precast “.
Como Director de Seguridad, me gustarfa afirmar que lograr un verdadero éxito en seguridad es una cultura que viene de arriba hacia abajo y debe estar respaldada por un compromiso de estar seguro desde la oficina principal. Somos afortunados de haber tenido siempre el compromiso de propiedad que establece una cultura segura para todo el personal. Cuando recuerdo, John Kramer, uno de nuestros anteriores presidentes de Western Precast, solia comentarme cuando nos encontrabamos en el patio: “Asegurate de estar atento a todo el personal, nunca puedes estar demasiado seguro”. Creo que el Sr. Kramer estarfa orgulloso!
