700 Days of Safety: A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Western Precast Inc. recently reached a major safety milestone: 700 days—and counting—without a lost-time accident. That’s nearly two full years without a single workplace injury requiring an employee to miss a day of work.

This achievement didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of a dedicated management team, rigorous adherence to safety protocols, and the daily commitment of every employee on site.

At the forefront of this effort is Safety Director Sergio Arvizu, whose leadership includes continuous training, vigilant property oversight, and the ongoing task of identifying potential hazards before they become problems. But the responsibility doesn’t end there.

Every employee at Western Precast is empowered to be a Safety Officer—able to spot and report concerns, call out hazards, or even stop operations if something feels unsafe.

Our culture of safety runs deep. Minor scrapes and cuts are rare, and serious injuries are virtually nonexistent. This reflects not only the quality of our training but also the mindset of a team that looks out for one another.

A safe plant isn’t built by one person or one department. It’s the result of everyone working together, following safety procedures, and committing to one common goal: ensuring that every employee returns home safely to their family at the end of the day.

As we celebrate this incredible achievement, we extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to every staff member and every leader who continues to prioritize safety, day in and day out.
