Another standout project featured uniquely shaped precast boxes — five-, six-, even eight-sided forms which were custom built for an older part of El Paso. In this part of the city, utilities and unknown infrastructure made traditional cast-in-place work risky and time-consuming.
“Once you start digging, you find all sorts of buried utilities — fiber optic, gas, abandoned lines,” Richard explains.
“Contractors often think pouring in place is easier, but we’ve proven we can build even complex shapes to spec and make the install faster, safer, and cheaper.”
The five-sided pour boxes were a success not only because of their tailored design, but because of the streamlined logistics that come along with precast solutions. The team delivered forms ready to install, shaving days off of the construction schedule.
