From finisher to foreman — a journey of growth and grit
Meet Miguel Jauregui, a valued member of the Western Precast team for nearly 14 years. Miguel first joined as a finisher, and this year he’s stepping into a new role as foreman. In this position he’ll have the opportunity to lead with the same quiet determination and work ethic that have defined his time here.
When asked what drew him to the precast industry, Miguel points to the solid schedule, steady pay, and most importantly, the people. “It’s a good group,” he says, nodding to the strong team culture that’s built on mutual respect and years of shared effort.
Over the years, Miguel has been part of countless projects, but one in particular stands out — a massive 50-foot box pour. Through cooperation that brought the whole company together, the team was able to pull off the project successfully. “It was the highest box we’ve ever done,” he recalls, proudly.
Now, as a foreman, Miguel’s role has shifted from hands-on work to leadership. He makes sure his team has what they need, stays on task, and keeps the day running smoothly — especially in a season where there’s a lot of work and not always enough hands.
What inspires him? The old-timers. The ones who’ve been around, left their mark, and shown that a long, meaningful career is possible here at Western.
When asked what people might not know about him, Miguel laughs. “I think everyone knows me by now. I’ve been here a long time.”
We’re proud to highlight Miguel not just for his contributions, but for his attitude — humble, hardworking, and always ready to take the next step.
Thank you, Miguel, for your commitment and example.
