Welcome back and Happy New Year! I don’t think anyone would disagree that 2020 was a difficult year, one that we never really saw coming. Here in El Paso, there have been reported deaths due to Covid-19 in the amount of 1,708 souls as of this writing. In the United States, there have been 354,000 deaths and worldwide, 1,860,000 deaths. No matter our political persuasion or the beliefs we subscribe to, these are human beings and it is hard not to feel something for the loss of life. I hope that we all in our own way, during our quiet time, are able to reflect and feel some empathy for those who have experienced loss and suffering as a result of this pandemic. To anyone, especially any Western Precast Staff members who have suffered, we offer our thoughts and prayers for your comfort.
What can we expect as we go forward this year? We know the political climate is tenacious and has split the country in two. We expect that in the near future the economic outlook will be one of adjustment and uncertainty. We don’t know where the health of our nation will go and how the vaccine will work its way through our community. We do offer this; Western will continue to work full shifts and manufacture every product our customers need for the development of infrastructure, be it private, commercial, state or municipal. We stand ready as always to take on every project that our contractors place in our care, and placing quality and value for our contractors and clients is our utmost mission. Manufacturing safely so as to assure that each staff member is safe and is able to go home daily to be with loved ones is vital to the mission, as well.
When global events occur and seem insurmountable, and we realize they are out of our control, we turn to the only things in our control; our ability to treat each person with respect and dignity, and our ability to work and contribute to a better world right here in our community. Western Precast is strong and we are fortunate to be part of El Paso, a vibrant community that is building our roads, drainage structures and commercial expansion in a strong way. As always, we thank each staff member for your service and safe operation, and we thank all our specifiers, contractors and clients. We look forward with optimism and strength.

No creo que nadie esté en desacuerdo que el 2020 fue un año difícil, una que nunca vimos venir.Aquí en El Paso, han habido muertes reportadas por el Covid-19 en la cantidad de 1,708 a partir de esta escritura. En los Estado Unidos, han habido 354,000 muertes y 1,860,000 en todo el mundo. No importa la persuasiόn política o las creencias que subscribimos , estos son seres humanos y es difícil no sentir algo por la perdida de la vida. Espero que todos a nuestra manera, durante nuestro tiempo de tranquilidad, podamos reflexionar y sentir algo de empatía por aquellos que han experimentado una pérdida y sufrimiento resultado por esta pandemia.A cualquiera, especialmente a cualquier miembro del personal de Western Precast que ha sufrido, les ofrecemos nuestros pensamientos y oraciones por su comodidad.
Que podemos esperar a medida que avanzamos este año? Sabemos que el clima político es tenaz y ha dividido el país en dos. Esperamos que en el futuro cercano las perspectivas econόmicas seran de ajuste y incertidumbre. No sabemos adόnde irá la salud de nuestra naciόn y cόmo funcionará la vacuna a través de nuestra comunidad. Nosotros ofrecemos esto; Western continuará trabajando turnos completos y fabricaremos todos los productos que nuestros clientes necesiten para el desarrollo de infraestructura, ya sea privada, comercial, estatal o municipal. Estamos preparados como siempre para afrontar cada proyecto que nuestros contratistas ponen a nuestro cuidado, y colocando calidad y valor para nuestros contratistas y clientes es nuestra máxima misiόn. Fabricando de forma segura para asegurar que cada miembro del personal este seguro y pueda volver a su casa todo los días para estar con sus seres queridos tambien es vital para la misiόn.
Cuando ocurren eventos globales y parecen insuperables, y nos damos cuenta de que están fuera de nuestro control, recurrimos a las únicas cosas que tenemos bajo nuestro control; nuestra capacidad para tratar a cada persona con respeto y dignidad, y nuestra capacidad para trabajar y contribuir a un mundo mejor aquí mismo en nuestra comunidad. Western Precast es fuerte y tenemos la suerte de ser parte de El Paso, una comunidad vibrante que está construyendo nuestras carreteras, estructuras de drenaje y expansiόn comercial de manera fuerte.
