The Western Precast maintenance workshop is preparing for the winter season that is right around the corner. We perform special maintenance for our work team and have been doing so every two years. This ongoing maintenance consists of repairing and cleaning the cooling systems, specifically on the forklifts, since they are a fundamental part of the production area. This consists of removing the antifreeze from the radiators, as well as the water pumps, hoses and other components. The radiators and water pumps are also taken to two workshops that help us to repair and clean them before they are installed again in each of our units. Other regular maintenance includes changing the engine oil, as well as checking fluid levels and greasing the equipment.
All of this maintenance is performed under the manufacturer’s specifications and with the purpose that our equipment remains in excellent condition. This is also in preparation for the lower temperatures that are coming and most importantly, for the greater safety of the equipment operator.
Mantenimiento de Invierno
El taller de mantenimiento de Western Precast se está preparando para la temporada de invierno que está a la vuelta de la esquina. Realizamos mantenimientos especiales para nuestro equipo de trabajo y lo hemos hecho cada dos años. Este mantenimiento continuo consiste de reparaciόn y limpieza de los sistemas de refrigeraciόn, específicamente en la carretillas elevadores, ya que son parte fundamental del área de producciόn. Esto consiste en quitar el anticongelante de los radiadores, así como las bombas de agua, mangueras y otros componentes. Los radiadores y bombas de agua también se llevan a dos talleres que nos
ayudan a repararlas y limpiarlas antes de que se vuelvan a instalar en cada una de nuestras unidades. Otro mantenimiento regular incluye cambiar el aceite del motor, además de comprobar los niveles de líquidos y engrasar el equipo. Todo este mantenimiento se realiza bajo las especificaciones del fabricante y con la finalidad de que nuestro equipo se mantenga en excelentes condiciones. Esto también es una preparaciόn para las temperaturas más bajas que se avecinan y más
importante, para mayor seguridad del operador del equipo.
